In recent days, Teamster carhaulers have been hearing from Allied management personnel about the nice bonuses that some of them received.
Now, IBT Carhaul Director Fred Zuckerman reports that Allied management has admitted paying bonuses, in direct violation of the 2007 concession agreement.
Zuckerman, in a Sept. 4 letter to Allied Holdings CEO Mark Gendregske, demanded that the Teamster pay cut be rescinded and all Teamsters be made whole for the pay cuts since May 2007, with interest.

Allied breached the agreement. The breech should void the agreement, and all monies collected from the employees through the wage concession agreement be returned to the Allied bargaining-unit employees. The company failed to file the required monthly reports to the Union for over a year.
Allied has reinstated matching contributions to their non-bargaining unit employee’s 401 K plans starting last January 2008. These monies should also be collected and returned to the bargaining-unit.
What else are they hiding? This information was found out by Allied employees, not by Union officials who are supposed to be keeping watch during this wage concession agreement. It should make you wonder once again, if Allied really needs all the changes in the contract the Union wants to give them to keep them in business?

does anyone else smell a scam in the works? if allied is made to give back all monies to maintain current giveway standards, fred looks good. if allied is found to be in violation of the agreement and the agreement is voided, fred looks good . evidently fred can read ,and he does understand. it is only when his gravy train is threatened does he react appropriatly.

Well gee the only thing i have to say is i wont hold my breath to see if allied will part with any past due monies owed to the barganing unit employees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If allied is forced to repay monies owed to employees they will proably close just like PTS!!
Good luck allied driver`s your going to need it. Seem`s like it is all out war on the working man.

If ……….. the letter from Fred Zuckerman to Allied Holdings CEO Mark Gendregske is genuine, the matter is not a rumor. It would in fact, be a serious violation…… that breeches the agreement and harms the affected union members.
If………. Allied’s Mark Gendregske did in fact confirm the details cited, as described by Fred in this Sept. 4th. letter, a full accounting of all the elements of a collective bargaining grievance should be well documented and shared with all Carhaul members.
Fred should reveal, what does he know, when and how did he learn it? What role have the union auditors played since the concession agreement was signed?
The Who, What, Why, When and Where details clearly affect every Carhauler. When the questions are asked, and answers given, information exchanged, these details should be used to make the affected members “whole in every way”!
Rank and File Allied members need to file joining grievances on this matter and insist that they be present at the local level hearing in order to participate in every aspect of the grievance process, including but not limited to, hearing all verbal exchanges, reading all document exchanges and offering comments and testimonies as they might see fit.
Anything less than full transparency and rank and file member involvement at the pre-hearing of this grievance, should be seen as smoke and mirror game playing. In fact, every Teamster Business Agent, every member, should insist to Director Fred Zuckerman that the only way this grievance will be heard and addressed, will be in the presence of affected rank and file members!
While this matter is being addressed, every Carhauler needs to keep their eyes on the ball! Stay involved, stay informed and fight to preserve our contract!

WELL, MAYBE THE INTERNATIONAL DOESN’T FEEL LIKE THIS IS NEWS,, KINDA FUNNY WHEN THEY WANTED THE ALLIED DRIVERS TO VOTE ON THE PTS DRIVERS TAKIN A 17% PAYCUT, THAT WAS PUT OUT SAME DAY,, BUT WHEN ALLIED WAS CAUGHT VIOLATING THE AGREEMENT, IT’S NOT NEWS,,,,, WONDER IF THE SAME ACCOUNTANT’S THAT DIDN’T CATCH THIS,, IS THE SAME ACCOUNTANT’S THAT HAVE SAID HOW BAD OF SHAPE THE CARHAUL COMPANIES ARE??????,, IF FRED WOULD HAVE SPENT THE TIME HE WAS JETSETTING AROUND TRYING TO SELL US A POS CONTRACT,, GOING OVER THE BOOKS HE MIGHT HAVE FOUND OUT ALL THESE COMPANIES ARE MAKING MONEY,, I’VE CHANGED MY MIND I DON’T WANT A FREEZE,, I WANT A COST OF LIVING INCREASE NOW,, I WONDER HOW MANY ROUNDS OF GOLF THEY WILL BE PLAYING IN HILTON HEAD SC,, SOMEHOW I THINK THAT THIS IS GOING TO JUST BE A VACATION WEEK NEXT WEEK FOR THEM, THEY ALREADY HAVE IT WORKED OUT, ABOUT THURSDAY AFTERNOON , OR FRIDAY MORNING WALK OUT, AND HAVE US WALK,,, AND SAY THEY CAN’T GET ANY COOPERATION, THEN SETTLE THE THING ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY,,,, THEN COME BACK WITH THE SAME POS CONTRACT PROPOSAL……..

Do you guy`s really want to continue hauling car`s under the type of contract the union and companie`s want?
If this is it then maybe it is time to consider other employment option`s. If this get`s passed the one`s who stay will be no better off than a scab!!

ANYONE THAT WOULD CONTINUE TO HAUL CARS UNDER ANYTHING LIKE THE POS CONTRACT PROPOSAL,, NEEDS A JOB TO BAD, THERE ARE TO MANY JOBS OUT THERE THAT PAY MORE MONEY FOR LESS WORK, WE WON’T BE MAKING 1200 A WEEK FOR 6 DAY WEEKS,, ACTUALLY WE ARE BETTER PREPARED TO TURN DOWN A POS CONTRACT THIS TIME THAN WE WERE LAST TIME, THERE ARE A LOT MORE DRIVERS ASKING QUESTIONS AS TO WHY IT WAS SUCH A BAD DEAL, JUST PISSES ME OFF THAT THE UNION ISN’T LISTENING TO THE DRIVERS THAT THEY REPRESENT, AND THE BA’S ARE NOT LISTENING TO THE DRIVERS THEY REPRESENT,, THINK IT’S CALLED THE GOOD OLD BOY SYSTEM

Zuckass will never fight his partner in crime! We all know Allied employees were sold out by everyone involved including the Clinton’s. What? Is Mr Zuckass going to give the golf trips, lavish trips to CA, and MONEY back. NO WAY! This is a reaction to the petition to oust his sorry ass out of office. The deal violated every labor law that you can imagine. None of the books were checked! Six months out of BK and concessions, they try to buy PTS and give 6 million in bonuses to vote yes. The money was in the bank! Minus Hoffa and the boys cut! Teamsters once stood for something: Pride, Unity, and balls to walk that line! We all have families and bills, and we have been spoiled. The fact is that we have been weakened by our way of life and we need to act now. We have no leader to follow and no means to fight. What kind of Teamsters our we? Lets make these clowns give back that money they stole from Allied drivers! Who’s game?
