Yes they endorsed the tentative agreement. The fucking fix is in brothers. If anyone considers this a winning contract, they must be out of their minds. I would never vote yes to a piece of shit contract like this. We need to vote this thing down and get the strike vote ready. I cannot believe that the IBT would think we would agree to this. We have leverage, if only we could stand shoulder to shoulder and commit to change the industry…
I would not even consider going back to carhauling with a contract with these terms. And forget about the companies getting any new hires to join in. Who the hell would do this job for that kind kind pay structure. We used to post a hiring drivers sign on our terminal gate in Lewiston, and after 6 months or so, we were lucky to get a handfull of guys to apply. And that was at full pay rate. I don’t care how lowsey they make the economy out to be, us bearing the heavy concession load is not the answer.I am glad that PTS closed, it is forcing many of us to take a hard look at the job that we had been doing. It is dangerous, rigorous, and huge sacrafices are made everyday. I for one am looking for work in another industry. I am making life style changes to accomodate for the reduction in pay. But I will most likely be home everyday.
I appologize for the ranting people, but I am friggin pissed at the terms in this contract. Can i get some agreement or what? Please reply.

HEARD TODAY THAT ONE OF THE TERMINAL MANAGERS WAS AT THERE MEETING IN NASHVILLE, TO DISCUSS THE PROPOSED CONTRACT, OVER THE WEEKEND , WHAT A GUY THE UNION LEADER MUST BE THERE, USE TO BE THAT WE WOULD BE AFRAID OF RETAILIATION FOR WHAT WAS SAID AT A MEETING, LOOKS LIKE THINGS HAS CHANGED, THE UNION AND COMPANY ON ONE SIDE, US ON THE OTHER!!! MAYBE THE COMPANY BROUGHT COFFEE AND DONUTS!

I know for a fact that there was a sure no vote at the table. 100% no BULL SHIT! The reason for the meeting was for a selling of it to us the drivers. Thats right SELL! How in the hell do you sell something to members of a labor union? In order to sell something money has to be exchanged from one hand to another. We have been sold out! Sold out by the people in which we pay their salaries. SOLD, SELL are sad words behind our union…..

Man you are so right. We have been sold out boig time. They take ,take, take, and we just can’t give anymore… I will be letting our B.A. know exactly whats on my mind this sunday. He will get a lot of opinions about this shitty contract.
