June 12, 2008
Teamster carhaul negotiators met with PTS officials this morning in Cleveland with both sides exchanging proposals in an effort to end a four-day strike.
Both sides met from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time).
“We’re hoping to hear back from the company and we hope we’re on our way to resolving the strike,” said Fred Zuckerman, Director of the Teamsters Carhaul Division. “The strike against PTS continues in the meantime.”
Meanwhile, union negotiators were planning to resume multiemployer contract negotiations this afternoon.
