The walkout involved 1,250 workers at 24 U.S. sites, Teamsters spokeswoman Leigh Strope said in an interview. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Michael Kaplan last week allowed a 15 percent pay reduction for union employees of the Allen Park, Michigan- based trucking company.

Performance Transportation’s lawyers on June 7 asked for an injunction against a Teamsters strike in U.S. bankruptcy court in Buffalo, New York. “Such action will cause irreparable harm from which the debtors will never recover,” the closely held company’s attorneys said in a court filing.
